The beginning of Concept Flooring Inc.
Jeff Fox spent years as a flooring installer, working inside people's homes every day. He watched families light up the moment they saw what their home could become, and he understood what getting it right meant to them in a way most salespeople never would. Dave Jones came at it as a homeowner who found the process harder than it needed to be. More showrooms meant more samples, more confusion, and more pressure to decide before you were ready.
They met through a shared connection in their community, compared notes on what a better experience could look like, and agreed on one thing: the same person who helps you choose should be accountable for the installation. In 2001, they stopped talking about it and built Concept Flooring.

The shop-at-home model wasn't added later to keep up with competitors; it was the premise from day one. We were already going to the home to measure. Bringing samples along meant the customer never had to drive anywhere to make the most important decision.
